5th Grade School Supplies Updated 07/14/10
· 1 composition notebook (marble for writer's notebook) Also, be prepared with a zip-loc baggy full of pictures from your own collection or magazine clippings of your favorite things. We will decorate notebooks at the very beginning of the year as a homework assignment.
· 1 yellow pocket folder with prongs (Data & conference information) · 1 blue pocket folder with prongs (math) · 1 red pocket folder with prongs (social studies) · 1 blue pocket folder with prongs (science) · 1 purple pocket folder with prongs (interactive edit & reading) · 1 green pocket folder with prongs (homework) 6 TOTAL---all plain---no design---ALSO do not write student names on folders. We will provide labels.
· 1 spiral notebook-must be 5-subject wide-ruled (NOT college-ruled) · 1inch binder-solid color with clear sleeve on front (NOT larger than 1 inch)
· 1 package of plastic page protectors · 1 package of tabbed dividers · · 3-4 packets of notebook paper-loose leaf wide-ruled (NOT college-ruled) · Plain yellow #2 pencils-Mechanical pencils are allowed.
The following items are optional but needed & appreciated: · 1 block eraser · student scissors · colored pencils · crayons · yellow highlighter · red/purple pens · sturdy ruler-optional
· 1 box gallon size Zip-Loc FREEZER bags · 1 box quart size Zip-Loc FREEZER bags · 1 box snack size Zip-Loc bags
· 2-3 boxes facial tissues · 1-2 rolls paper towels for science experiments clean up etc.
We will have large classes this year. Please do not get HUGE bookbags. We have limited space to hang them.
