Brookwood Responds to Needs of All Learners

Response to Intervention (RTI) time is a segment of each school day dedicated to providing differentiated learning with flexible grouping. Homeroom teachers and support staff work together to analyze district assessments to identify student needs.

Data from Testgate literacy and math tests, district math fluency tests, Literacy Collaborative assessments, grade level assessments and the Criterion-Referenced Competency Test (CRCT) are used to target instructional needs. Short-term groups are formed to match the student needs with instruction. Extra practice is provided for those who need it and enrichment opportunities are offered to students who have met mastery levels on the assessments. As new data becomes available, groups change based on analysis of that data.
